Who operates Poolbaas?

Poolbaas is a small, privately operated sports prediction platform. The Poolbaas administrator determines how personal data is processed within the platform.

Which data does Poolbaas use?

• Account information, such as your player name, username, email address and securely hashed password.
• Profile preferences, including your favourite club, language and notification settings.
• Game data, such as pool registrations, predictions, points, rankings and performance.
• Invitation data, allowing Poolbaas to record which player invited a new account.
• Security data, such as sessions, password resets, failed deliveries and essential audit records.
• Technical data automatically required by the server, such as timestamps, routes, error messages and network information.

Poolbaas does not request sensitive personal data, payment details or contact lists.

Why is this data used?

• To create your account and keep it secure.
• To store predictions and calculate points.
• To display leaderboards, profiles and game history.
• To send password recovery emails and important account messages.
• To monitor deadlines and deliver essential game notifications.
• To investigate errors, abuse and security incidents.
• To create backups and restore Poolbaas when needed.

The necessary processing is performed to provide the requested Poolbaas service and keep the platform secure and reliable. Where a feature is optional, Poolbaas may separately request your choice or consent.

What can other players see?

Other players may see your player name, username, favourite club, predictions once they become public, points, ranking and playing statistics.

Your email address, password information, recovery links, security logs and internal administration data are not shown on your public profile.

Who is the data shared with?

Poolbaas does not sell personal data or use contact lists for advertising.

Limited data may be processed by infrastructure and email providers where technically necessary. For example, automated email is delivered through TransIP.

Sports data and club images may come from external sports data providers, including TheSportsDB. When an external image is loaded directly, that provider receives standard technical connection data such as the IP address. Poolbaas does not provide your account profile or predictions to that provider.

Data may also be shared where legally required or necessary to investigate abuse and security incidents.

How long is data retained?

Account and game data are generally retained while the account is active and while the game history is intended to remain available within Poolbaas.

Temporary recovery links have a short validity period. Technical logs and audit records are retained only as long as needed for security, troubleshooting and reliable administration.

Following a deletion request, the active account is deleted or anonymised unless data must temporarily be retained for security, disputes or a legal obligation. Deleted data may remain temporarily in encrypted or protected backups until they are replaced according to the backup schedule.

How does Poolbaas protect data?

• Passwords are hashed and are not stored in readable form.
• The public website uses HTTPS.
• Administration features are restricted to the administrator account.
• Important changes are recorded in the audit log.
• Backups, integrity checks and operational monitoring are active.

No system is entirely risk-free. Report a suspected security issue immediately via admin@poolbaas.nl.

Your rechten

You may ask the administrator for:

• access to your personal data;
• correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
• deletion of your account or personal data;
• restriction of, or objection to, certain processing;
• a usable copy of the data you provided.

Send your request to admin@poolbaas.nl. To protect your account, Poolbaas may ask you to confirm your identity.

You may also submit a complaint to the competent data protection authority.

Wijzigingen

Poolbaas publishes a new version when material changes are made. Where necessary, you will be asked to confirm your acceptance again.
